About Us

Who we are and what we do

Community Catalysts supports seniors, veterans, homeless and other low income people by funding and partnering on quality attainable housing and services.

Hands of neighbors and partners stacked together
Our story

A small, nimble team, able to move quickly

Community Catalysts began when a few people wanted to make a difference where they lived and worked. They decided to act, getting stalled housing projects started throughout the state of Michigan. Over the course of the last few years, the focus narrowed to Southeast Michigan with a strong emphasis on Livingston County.

Today, that same determination is the catalyst for everything we do. Together we empower seniors, veterans, people who've become homeless, and other low-income families through quality attainable housing and services.

Our mission

To serve as a catalyst to our partners and, together, empower seniors, veterans, homeless, and other low-income people through quality attainable housing and services.

Our core values

  • Collaboration with other community development efforts
  • Innovation in design and concepts
  • Integrity
  • Respect for the individual and the dignity of all people
